The old building was reconstructed in 2005. Now restaurant «Saksagan» has two entrances leading to a vestibule – the main one is from the yard and the additional one is from the hotel lobby.

The vestibule resembles a little old stone street, slightly lit with lamps-mignons.

A central stucco moulded hand-made picture portrays the idea of creation of the restaurant. Have a closer look and you will understand that it is a signature sign of the restaurant «Saksagan».

Huge mirrors on the both sides of the picture captivate guests and show their readiness to celebrate.

A heavy wooden bench with forged cast iron legs resembles a guard securing the entrance and offering to relax.

Behind the wooden door with stained glass window other world shows its beauty.

In the main restaurant hall you can see imitation of a medieval tower with lancet windows and French balconies. If you give rein to your imagination, you might see somebody’s mistress sadly waiting for her knight, who is just about to appear and save her. But he has to fight with a bat, a hostess of the tower that keeps watch over the approaches to her property seating opposite, on the old city ruins. It is possible to defeat it — a magic weapon hangs just here, near the secret entrance, hidden behind a leather picture decorated with leather flowers, ribbons and little bells.

Forged candle- and torch-like lamps, lovely stairs with carved handrails and high tracery ceiling made of natural wood — everything helps to feel the Middle Ages atmosphere. In the centre of the hall there is a main symbol of the restaurant — a standard with coat of arms on which two lions symbolize stability, fortitude, fearlessness and faithfulness. With their paws they guard a crown — a symbol of power.
